El pasado 11 de marzo, la Sección de Familia y Sucesiones del Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid organizó un enriquecedor foro de debate bajo el tema «Liderazgo femenino en la abogacía de familia y derecho comparado».

El evento reunió a destacadas profesionales del ámbito del derecho de familia, tanto de España como de Francia y Reino Unido. Las ponentes, María Valentín Acedo, Paula Piquer Ruz y María Antonia Ybarra, moderadas por Julia Clavero, miembro del Consejo Asesor de la Sección de Familia y Sucesiones del ICAM, ofrecieron su perspectiva sobre el liderazgo femenino en la abogacía, así como sobre las diferencias y similitudes en el ejercicio del derecho de familia en distintos países.

María Valentín Acedo, Of Counsel en Libra avocats en París, Francia, compartió su experiencia sobre cómo accedió al ejercicio de la abogacía en Francia, destacando la importancia de la autonomía y el apoyo de otros profesionales en el desarrollo de su carrera.

Por su parte, Paula Piquer Ruz, Associate Solicitor en Buckles Solicitors LLP en Londres, Reino Unido, ofreció una visión detallada sobre la situación del liderazgo femenino en el derecho de familia en Inglaterra, resaltando la importancia del acceso de las mujeres a posiciones de alto nivel en despachos.

María Antonia Ybarra, abogada especializada en Derecho de Familia en Madrid, también explicó su caso personal, destacando el papel que desempeñan las mujeres tanto en la judicatura como en la abogacía en España.

El debate posterior giró en torno a los pactos prematrimoniales y su eficacia en distintos países, destacando la importancia del asesoramiento preventivo en este ámbito, especialmente para parejas con planes de residir en diferentes jurisdicciones.

Así, durante la sesión se proporcionó una visión detallada y crítica de la importancia de los acuerdos matrimoniales y validez, recordando la importancia de contar con asesoramiento legal especializado para garantizar la protección de los derechos de las partes involucradas en el proceso.

En este sentido, se discutieron aspectos relacionados con la regulación de los pactos matrimoniales en diferentes países, la importancia del asesoramiento legal en estos procesos, y la revisión de acuerdos en caso de cambios en las circunstancias de las partes, mencionando casos específicos donde la validez de los acuerdos matrimoniales fue cuestionada.
